Medartis Inc. today announced the official U.S. launch of the TITAN Nail System, expanding the company’s upper extremity trauma portfolio with a intramedullary fixation solution designed to address fractures of the phalanges and metacarpals. 

The first clinical use of the TITAN Nail System was recently performed by Kelly Babineaux, MD at University Medical Center New Orleans on July 29, 2026. The procedure marks the start of the system’s US rollout. as surgeons across the United States begin to gain access to Medartis’ newest fixation platform. The new Titan nail stabilizes the bone from within rather than with a plate-and-screw construct and is designed to reduce soft-tissue exposure and operating time in suitable indications.

The TITAN Nail System was engineered to provide surgeons with a next-generation intramedullary fixation solution that combines immediate bite force, low and controlled insertion torque, and self-holding instrumentation. Together, these features are intended to simplify nail insertion, enhance procedural efficiency, and provide confident fixation throughout the surgical flow. The implant is delivered in a new procedure kit that is flexible and asset-light for hospitals.
