Designed to perform.
Optimal fracture treatment should aim for stable anatomical reduction to allow for early active motion of the wrist to restore functionality. The Distal Radius and Distal Ulna System 2.5 provides solutions to reach this aim.
Comprehensive system
A wide range of fracture-specific plate designs available in a variety of sizes, widths, and thicknesses helps you address a multitude of fracture types.
Anatomical fit
Anatomical options and features designed to accommodate different patient anatomies.
One system size
In the complex application field of fracture repair, the Distal Radius and Distal Ulna System 2.5 provides simple, easy-to-use instrumentation.
TriLock
TriLock locking technology provides multidirectional and angular stable locking of the screw in the plate.
Approaches
Different fracture patterns need different approaches. Decision-making of the approach is often based on the specific fracture type. Medartis provides solutions for each individual approach.

Unstable distal radius fractures in the elderly patient-volar fixed-angle plate osteosynthesis prevents secondary loss of reduction.2010J Trauma
This paper describes outcomes of 58 elderly patients (>75y) with an unstable distal radius fracture, treated with a volar fixed angle plate (Medartis APTUS 2.5 Wrist fracture plate). The authors conclude that :" This technique with its simple palmar access, allows exact anatomic reduction of the fracture, allows early return to function, and minimizes morbidity in the elderly patient."

Fragment specific fixation with APTUS wrist system for volar rim fractures of the distal radius: a multicentric study.2022Eur J Trauma Emerg Surg
This paper describes the results of 68 volar rim fractures of the distal radius with fragment specific fixation plates from the APTUS wrist system. The authors conclude that the three different fragment-specific fixation plates, can effectively and securely fix various types of volar rim fractures.

Dorsal Plate Osteosynthesis in Simple and Complex Fractures of the Distal Radius: A Radiological Analysis of 166 Cases2021J Wrist Surg
Ghafoor et al., describe the results of 166 patients with a distal radius fracture, treated with a dorsal dorsal plate osteosynthesis, using the Medartis 2.5 TriLock distal radius plates, dorsal. Our results show that dorsal plating of distal radius fractures, when performed correctly and by experienced surgeons, provides outcomes on par with the more commonly performed volar plate osteosynthesis when considering radiographic parameters and complication rate.
